This gang used to use the identity of film stars and other fake details in banks. Using these details, this gang has swindled more than Rs 50 lakh. In the case of Fraud, the police arrested five people. In this case, delhi police says that these thugs used to cheat banks of lakhs of rupees by using fake PAN cards of big personalities. The thugs have used fake details of names of many stars like Sachin Tendulkar, mahendra singh dhoni, Sonam Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, etc. in this manner.
Police have said that the investigation of the case is going on, so no further information can be given in this regard. The fraudsters had already siphoned off Rs 21.32 lakh before the company came to know about the fraud later. As soon as the matter came to light, the company got shocked and immediately informed the police. Acting promptly, the delhi police exposed the entire gang of thugs in the case. One of the arrested accused has done B.Tech.
The date of birth of these celebrities was present on Google. The thugs wanted the PAN number and date of birth for the details, which they easily got. After getting the PAN number, the rest of the details were also easily accessible. After this, the thugs fraudulently got the PAN card made and affixed their photo on it so that during video verification their face would match with the photo available on the PAN/Aadhaar card.
