This will be the second time that this award ceremony will be held in Dubai. Earlier this award show was held there in 2016. International Bhojpuri Film Awards was started in the year 2015 by Abhay Sinha, a well-known distributor and producer of Bhojpuri cinema. That year the award was held in Mauritius. After this, these award ceremonies were held in dubai in the year 2016, london in the year 2017, malaysia in the year 2018 and singapore in the year 2019. Due to the Corona epidemic, the international Bhojpuri Film Award was postponed for the last three years. This year this event is going to be held in dubai on 15 march 2023.
