With the big-budget success of Pelli Choopulu, Tharun Bhascker established himself as one of the promising directors. His subsequent movie, Ee Nagaraniki Em Ayyindi, wasn't a major hit, but because to the meme aspect, it has gained a cult following on social media. In general, Tharun is regarded as a filmmaker whose work connects with young people.

Tharun, however, has lately focused on playing small parts in movies and online series. In a recent episode of the anthology series Anger Tales, he played the spouse of Madonna Sebastian. His upcoming film, a criminal comedy called Keeda Cola, will be directed by him. The movie doesn't have any big names, but Tharun says he is reintroducing brahmanandam in a never-before-seen part.
