With a staggering total of Rs 902 crore in india and Rs 1111 crore worldwide, rrr may have had blockbuster success. Sadly, it wasn't accepted as India's official entry. The country instead sends the independent Gujarati film "Chhello Show" as its official submission to the Academy Awards. But, rajamouli and the rrr team persisted. This was the beginning of Oscar's journey.

I'm quite pleased about it. Everyone was aware that rrr had a much better chance, of course. Everyone in this country (the US) believed rrr had a better chance. But I'm not sure how the committee (Film Federation of India) operates or what its rules are. I am unable to comment because I am not aware of that.
