Samantha, an actress, is promoting her forthcoming Gunasekhar-directed movie Shakuntalam. Her previous film, Yashoda, had an average box office performance, so she is placing a lot of hope in the Gunasekhar-directed film. samantha has also decided to talk about the period once more following her highly publicised divorce from naga Chaitanya.

She talked to an english publication about the "dark" times and difficult times she had to go through as an individual before and after her divorce. samantha referred to it as a "dark phase" in her life and said it was full of tears and many conflicting feelings. sam said, "I was in a very dark place and had some really dark thoughts during those hardest moments. I would not allow these ideas to devastate me. It implies that I must begin to think ahead. I'm lucky that so many of my friends and family stuck by me. Although I haven't fully conquered it, the number of bad days has significantly decreased.

Sam continued by saying that she would check with her mother to see if everything was okay as she went through a difficult divorce while following her emotions. She expressed confidence in Shakuntalam, saying that every one has its share of difficult moments and dark periods. samantha added that one can understand the true worth of objects when one is by oneself. She expressed her gratitude to her family and friends for supporting her at that time. She emphasised once more that one should move passed the past and learn from it.
