One of the well-known actresses in both tamil and telugu cinema is Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar. She said he opposed her working in the film industry but encouraged her to pursue acting after she finished her education. She continued by saying that she had passed the screen tests for some films but had to miss them due to her father's opposition.
