Aindrita Ray is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Kannada movies. She started her career in 2007 with the movie 'Meravanige' and later she appeared in several commercial hits. Soon she achieved stardom and she became a leading actress in Kannada cinema.
Her performance as 'Devika', a mentally challenged girl in 'Manasaare' fetched her more positive response. She is a Bengali by birth and she spent her childhood at Mumbai. As her father was a prosthodontist in the Indian Air Force, her family kept on moving from one place to another, and finally they settled in Bengaluru.
She did part time modelling and appeared in TV ads initially. Later that helped her to get inside movie industry. She also has a degree in dental science. She also grabbed many awards and accolades for her role of mentally challenged girl and this includes Filmfare Award and Suvarna Award.
She also did lead role in 'Dhool' which was remake of Tamil movie 'Thiruvilayaadal Aarambam'. She also made debut in her mother tongue Bengali in 2014 with the movie 'Bachchan'.
