Small film, Pelli Choopulu went on to become a blockbuster hit. The movie had got huge profits to everyone involved in the trade. In fact, the movie which was made with a budget of under One Crore went on to mint about 15 Crore Share in its full run. The movie did too good in Overseas as well amassing more than One Million Dollars Gross.
We are said that the producer of the film, Raj Kandukuri gave a whopping One Crore cheque to the director of the film, Tarun Bhaskar. The Producer initially wanted to gift a luxury car to the director but the latter refused it saying that he likes to keep his life simple and would stay away from such things.
This may the biggest remuneration ever for a debut director in Telugu Cinema. Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan is interested in the Bollywood remake of the film and is in the process of acquiring the remake rights of the film. We are told that Salman Khan is planning to introduce his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma with this film.
We are said that the team is quoting a whopping One Crore for the remake rights of the film which is a big amount for the film's budget. But we are told that Salman Khan is positive. If everything goes well, Tarun Bhascker may helm the Hindi remake as well. An official announcement of this project may be expected soon.
