National award-winning hero dhanush recently scored a hit with asuran directed by vetrimaran, and as the movie has been running successfully he went on to work on director karthik Subbaraj's next post the success of Superstar Rajnikanth starrer petta and this movie is bankrolled by Y Not Studios and reliance Entertainment.
The untitled movie happens to be the 40th movie of dhanush and was tentatively referred to as D40, and the movie which is a gangster thriller had been filmed totally in london and also stars aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan, james Cosmo and Joju George, and music scored by santhosh Narayanan.
The latest update from the team is that the shoot has been wrapped after 64 days and producer Shashikanth said " #YNOT18 And that’s a wrap .... Longest toughest craziest 64 days of non stop shoot in UK .... done Thanks to the entire team". Next up dhanush will resume shooting for final schedule of his new venture. The raw and realistic gangster drama Pudhupettai helmed by the critically acclaimed maker Selvaraghavan and starring dhanush, sneha and sonia agarwal had celebrated its 13th anniversary of release recently. The movie was a flop at the Box-Office, but it got unanimous praises.
