'Visaranai' directed by Vetrimaaran is one of the most expected movies and the movie was recently screened in 72nd International Venice Film Festival. Now the movie bags an award under the title, Amnesty International Italy’s "Cinema for Human Rights".
The movie has made the Indian film fraternity proud with all these laurels that it is bringing home. Riccardo Noury, spokesperson Amnesty International Italy says, "Many other films in competition had not dealt the various aspects of human rights with sensitivity and originality. But Visaranai taken from the experience of a survivor, now an activist on Human rights, prevailed over the others."
The movie is produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films
The movie is produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Films. Samuthirakani has done a crucial role in the movie along with 'Attakathi' Dinesh and 'Aadukalam' Ramdoss. We hear from sources that the jury has appreciated the work of cinematographer Ramalingam.
With an unconventional narration technique and sleek visuals, Visaranai is a tale of a tragic, unjust incident. The makers are now just planning to release the movie in theatre’s for Tamil Audience and Dhanush is planning to repeat the magic of 'Kakka Muttai' once again.
