naga chaitanya, a chennai native, is slated to make his tamil movie debut in the near future. chaitanya has given his blessing to a Telugu-Tamil bilingual directed by tamil filmmaker venkat Prabhu. Chay will be directed by Prabhu, who previously directed Maanaadu (The Loop) alongside Simbhu. Prabhu is believed to have impressed Chay by narrating a fascinating family narrative set against a historical backdrop. Chay has opted to try his luck in tamil, following in the footsteps of several of his tollywood counterparts.
Prabhu is now working on Manmathaa Leelai, which will be released on april 1st and stars ashok Selvaan and Samyuktha Hegde. He'll partner up with naga Chaaitanya next. According to rumours, pooja hegde would play Chay's love interest in this film. Chaay and pooja were last seen back in 2011 in Okaa laila Kosam. The filmmakers who are now working on Lingusamy-Warrior Ram's and Boyapati-next Ram's will fund this venture.
