At the box office, Sai Dharam Tej's Virupaksha has proven to be a genuine blockbuster. After a good opening weekend, the movie had a very solid hold over the week and brought in almost 31 Crores in revenue worldwide in its first week. Nearly 25 crores will go to the telugu state, and more than 6 crores will go to the rest of the regions.

This is the second movie in Sai Dharam Tej's career to cross the 30 Crores share mark, following prati roju pandage [33 Crores]. Based on the first week numbers and the current trend, it appears that Virupaksha will easily cross the 40 Crores share during its entire run. The makers of the movie Virupaksha, which was produced by BVSN prasad under the direction of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, originally intended for it to be released in telugu, hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, among other languages.

However, they changed their minds at the last minute after seeing how well the telugu version of the movie had performed. The hindi version will be launched on May 5th after the telugu version became a smash hit and we can expect the same in bollywood too.
