Last Farmer won the National Award for Best tamil Film. Sardar Uttam was chosen as the best hindi film. The film rrr won 5 National Awards in categories including Best dance and Best Fight Training.

In 1994, Satyajitre was awarded the National Award for Best Screenplay for Uttaran.Satyajit Ray won 35 National Awards in his 40-year screen career. He has won 6 awards for Best director and National Awards for Best Film, Editing, Screenplay, and other categories.He also won Best Children's Film (Joi baba Felunath) and Best Documentary (Inner Eye, 1972). Satyajitre also won the Best Film Award for 9 bengali films. His film Sonar Kella won 6 National Awards including 3 National Awards for Best director, Best Screenplay, and Best Film in Bengali. Apart from this, Satyajitre has also won many international awards. After Satyajit Ray, director Mrinal Sen is second on the list of recipients of most National Awards with 18 National Awards. Another famous director Adoor Gopalakrishnan is third with 17 National Film Awards. Among actors, amitabh bachchan has won 4 National Awards for Best Actor. Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, and ajay Devgan have won 3 National Awards each.

Bengali cinema director Satyajit Ray has received numerous awards and honors, including India's highest award, dadasaheb phalke Award (1984), and India's highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna (1992). It is noteworthy that in 1991 he also received a special oscar award.
