Producer ekta kapoor, who created history in the indian film industry, received the Emmy Award at a program held in New York. What is the award?  The 51st international Emmy Awards ceremony was held in New York City on monday night, in which indian film producer and director ekta kapoor created history. Many famous names have been nominated for this award and ekta kapoor has created history. This time three indians were nominated for the competition in major categories. Among them, two indians have won Emmy awards.


  While stand-up comedian Veerdas got the award for the comedy series Veer Das Landing, ekta kapoor was given the award for her special contribution to television. ekta kapoor, who received the award from renowned author and actor deepak Chopra, has emerged as the first female indian filmmaker to achieve this prestigious honour. He was given the 'Directorate Yummy Award'. Through this, she has created history as the first indian woman filmmaker to receive the international 'Emmy Directorial Award'.


Ekta Kapoor, daughter of actors jeetendra Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, launched ekta kapoor balaji Telefilms in 1994. His balaji banner ushered in new changes in indian tv history. He has the credit of producing 17 thousand hours of tv serials and 45 films for the first time.
