Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food is a Tamil-language drama film directed by Nilesh Krishnaa, marking his directorial debut. The film is jointly backed by Jatin Sethi and R. Ravindran under the banner of Zee Studios, Naad Studios, and Trident Arts.
Nayanthara plays the lead in the movie opposite sathyaraj and Jai. The movie centres on Annapoorani, a girl who aspires to be a cook, and the challenges she faces in pursuing her goal. This movie marks Nayanthara’s 75th film in the lead role. The music for the film is composed by Thaman S., the cinematography is handled by sathyan Sooryan, and the editing is done by praveen Anthony. Annapoorani was released in theatres on december 1 and received mixed reviews from critics. Apart from that, in 2023, she was also seen in the psychological action thriller film Iraivan.
