In a recent interview, emraan hashmi reflected on his acting debut and initial days in Bollywood.

Emraan Hashmi, renowned for his bold choice of roles in Bollywood, reminisced about his journey from his acting debut to his rise in the film industry. Despite being associated with veteran filmmakers like mahesh bhatt and mukesh Bhatt, Emraan revealed that he entered the industry during an intriguing phase at Vishesh Films, where he was not assured of any privileges due to his family connections.

In a recent interview with indian Express, Emraan shared insights into his early days in Bollywood, particularly his debut in the 2003 film ‘Footpath’ under the banner of Vishesh Films. Contrary to assumptions, Emraan emphasized that his familial ties did not guarantee him any special treatment.

He recounted when mahesh bhatt set the tone for his acting journey by bluntly stating, "If you are not good in that first shot, and then subsequently in the scenes, we will throw you out of this film." He explained how this straightforward message instilled a sense of fear in him. He recalled mahesh bhatt, stating, "We are probably part of the same family, but we can’t do beyond this,’ because it is a business."

Furthermore, Emraan disclosed that he secured the role during a transitional period at Vishesh Films when they were not working with established stars. The production house was in search of a 'home-grown star,' which provided him with the opportunity to enter the industry and make his mark.

Regarding his current work, Emraan is now anticipating the launch of his next web series, ‘Showtime’. rajeev Khandelwal, Mouni Roy, Naseeruddin Shah, mahima Makwana, and shriya saran are among the lead actors in the series, which is produced by karan johar and directed by Mihir and Archit Kumar. Starting march 8, the series will be available to watch on Disney+ Hotstar.
