Spiritual Approach to Set

Kannada actor-director Rishab Shetty shared details about certain restrictions he followed while shooting select sequences of Kantara Chapter 1.

He avoided non-vegetarian food and wore footwear only during specific scenes, not throughout the entire film.

Shetty explained, “It’s not something I’ve done before, so I needed clarity of mind while doing it. I did not want to have any confusion. It’s a god I believe in, so I restricted myself during it.”

The restrictions were part of his personal spiritual approach and were intended to maintain focus and clarity for those particular sequences.

Limiting people on Set

For these shoots, Shetty deliberately limited the number of people on set.

“Normally, when you shoot, there are thousands of people on set. But I did not shoot these portions like that; I’m very careful,” he said.

He emphasized respect for personal beliefs: “don’t question anyone’s belief; I respect it. And I expect the same in return.”

Addressing Viral Myths

A fan-made post recently went viral, claiming viewers should follow rituals and avoid non-veg food before watching the film.

Shetty clarified that there is no official requirement to follow such restrictions.

“Nobody has the right to question one's eating or personal habits. These are left to individual mindsets and personal choice,” he stated.

He added that the fake post was noticed, deleted, and an apology was issued by the uploader.
