Veteran actor Ranganath who is 66 years old has committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Kavadiguda. Police are investigating the case and they have confirmed that loneliness and depression are the main reasons behind this suicide.
The news went to Police station and Gandhi Nagar police came to spot by 5pm on Saturday evening. It was said that two representatives of a cultural organization from Malkajgiri went to his house to invite him for a felicitation function and as there was no response despite lots of knocks and bells they have informed police.
Regarding this, Assistant commissioner of police (Chikkadpally), J.Narasaiah said, "The visitors who went to invite him was worried as there was muted response from inside the home.
They informed his daughter Neeraja who resides nearby. Neeraja with the help of a few others opened the door and found Ranganath hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen. He never left any suicide note, but he wrote the word 'Destiny' on the wall. Our clues team found the suicide note."
