Andhra Pradesh Government seems to be keen on not letting former TDP MLA Chintamaneni scot-free. Chintamaneni is already in jail for beating a Dalit and the Police have already arrested him for the third time. He was arrested by the police on a Prisoner in Transit (PT) warrant and produced in court. The 14-day remand which was given to Chintamaneni by the judge on July 11 concluded on Wednesday.
Police had submitted the PT warrants in two other cases against Chintamaneni in the court. After that, the judge had extended the remand period of Chintamanen till October 9th in one case and till October 10th in the other case. 26 cases are pending on him and the Police will seek remand in every case so that he can be put behind the bars for as much time as possible.
Even if he gets bail in one case, he will be still in jail for another case. Chintamaneni lost in the recent election to YSR Congress' Abbayi Chowdary with a whopping margin of around 13000 votes in Denduluru constituency. TDP losing Power made things worse for him.
