Manish Sisodia custody by the ED until march 17...P1

Former delhi Deputy chief minister manish Sisodia has been handed over to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on friday by the Rouse Avenue Special court on 7-day remand. Although the ED had demanded a 10-day remand in the delhi Excise Policy case, on which the court had earlier reserved its decision after hearing the arguments of both the parties. At around 5 pm, the court gave its verdict, in which the ED has been allowed to interrogate manish Sisodia on remand till march 17. 

On the other hand, another court has postponed the hearing on the bail application filed by manish Sisodia in the case registered by the cbi in this case. The court has postponed the hearing till march 21. This means that manish will have to remain in tihar jail under judicial custody till march 20.

Earlier, manish, who was already in cbi custody in the liquor scam related to delhi Excise Policy, was also arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday. ED has started investigation of money laundering in this case. In order to take remand in this case, on friday, the ED team took manish from tihar jail to Rouse Avenue court at around 2 pm, where the court of Special Judge MK Nagpal has given its verdict after the hearing.
