An order was then obtained granting Rs 276 crores to begin the project. This project's main goal is to provide a reliable subsurface drainage system for the city. Additionally, underground drainages will be installed throughout mahbubnagar town's major roadways and important residential districts to replace the side drains that already present.

Excise minister srinivas Goud recently held an official review meeting during which he set a one-year deadline for the project's completion. The local officials have already developed a strategy. Mahbubnagar's designation as a municipal corporation is also a suggestion that is now being thought about.
