At the Begumpet railway station, a woman passenger who had fallen while boarding a moving train was saved by an attentive Railway Protection Force (RPF) officer. The Lingampalli-Falaknuma MMTS train arrived at the station on tuesday at about 9 am amid the typical commotion of the station. Saraswathi, a female passenger, lost her balance while quickly attempting to board the train, which had already begun to pick up speed, and she was in danger of tumbling in the space between the train and the platform.
A remarkable amount of presence of mind was demonstrated by RPF policeman K Sanitha, who was on duty on the platform, who rushed to the passenger's aid and dragged her to safety. On the platform, other people hurried to help her as well. Sanitha received praise for her prompt action, and the video of the incident gained popularity. In 2020, Sanitha from the nalgonda district was hired by the Railway Protection Force and assigned to the Begumpet train station.

According to the RPF, two passengers were saved in the year 2023 under the auspices of mission "Jeevan Raksha" by RPF personnel at great personal risk. Additionally, the RPF asked users to contact nearest RPF troops or the Railway Helpline No. 139 to report any instances of dangerous behaviour seen in train stops or aboard trains.
