Chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's capable leadership, according to singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing director N sridhar, has resulted in a 176 percent growth in the company's turnover during the past nine years.

Speaking at the State's tenth formation day celebrations at singareni Bhavan in this city on Friday, sridhar said that the company's revenue before Telangana's formation was Rs. 11,928 crore and that it reached Rs. 32,978 crore during the most recent fiscal year, representing a 176 percent increase. Even the company's profit surged, he said, rising by 421% from Rs. 419 crore in 2014 to Rs. 2,184 crore in the 2022–23 fiscal year.

Sridhar said that the business was doing incredibly well in both coal production and transportation, noting that during the previous nine years, output of coal had increased by 33 percent and transportation of coal by 39 percent, respectively. He stated that the business had established 14 new mines in the previous nine years and that it planned to raise coal output from 67 million tonnes to 100 million tonnes during the following five years, for which 8 more mines will be opened.

He stated that the singareni Thermal Power Station was producing 1200 megawatts of energy and that singareni Corporation was striving to build other thermal and solar power plants to boost the present power output capacity to 4,000 megawatts.
