Atul Temurnikar told that hindi and French are the most popular foreign languages among Japanese students on the campuses of Global indian International school (GIIS) in Tokyo. He said that Japanese students want to learn about Asian and Western cultures while preserving their own culture. GIIS has 15,000 students on its 16 campuses who are learning Hindi.


Temurnikar pointed out that hindi is a popular language among Japanese students. It is part of the syllabus for classes 1 to 10. It is taught in both the Central Board of Secondary education and the Cambridge IGCSE.
