Manipur violence has taken away 142 lives...


 The fire of violence in Manipur has taken away the lives of 142 people till 4th July. On monday (July 10), the Manipur government filed a status report in the supreme Court. In which it has been said that most of the facilities have started in the violence affected state. The state government told the supreme court that only 181 people have been arrested so far.

According to the Hindustan Times report, the state government told the supreme court that 6745 people have been detained in view of security. The status report said that 101 people have died in the districts of Imphal east, Imphal West, Kakching, Thoubal and Bishnupur in the valley. Out of which maximum 29-29 deaths have occurred in the districts of Imphal east and West.

7 people died between 4 and 10 July

The Manipur government has informed about the death of 21 people in Kakching. Officials say that between 4 and 10 July, 7 more people have died. Including a policeman. On the other hand, if we talk about hilly districts, maximum number of deaths have occurred in Churachandpur. This district has been the center of violent clashes. 28 people have died here. people of Kuki community live in large numbers in Churachandpur. At the same time, 8 people have been killed in Kangpokpi hill district.

State divided into valley and hill districts

There are a total of 16 districts in Manipur, but they are generally seen divided into valley and hill districts. The Meitei community dominates the valley districts and the hill districts are inhabited by the Kuki-Zomi and naga tribals. In the status report presented by the Manipur government, information obtained from the police reports of 10 districts has been given. According to which, 462 people have been injured in violent clashes and 17 people are missing.
