Through this letter, mla Harish Poonja has demanded that justice should be provided to Soujanya's family.
On october 9, 2012, a student, Saujanya, was returning home after finishing college, when she was kidnapped, raped, and murdered by the accused. Santosh Rao was arrested by the police a few days after the protests intensified. When a lot of doubts were raised about this too, the investigation was later transferred to the CID. The government handed over the investigation to the cbi after the protests turned violent. In 2016, after completing the investigation, the cbi filed a charge sheet in court.
