Both the major political parties of the state are engaged in formulating a strategy for the Madhya Pradesh
Assembly Elections. bjp has released the first list of candidates in the past. At the same time, there was every
possibility of releasing the second list of bjp candidates in the first week of september, but at present it has been
postponed till september 12. bjp is now waiting for the list of congress candidates as well. Apart from this,
efforts are being made to pacify the internal discord of the bjp state unit and the voice of protest.
Significantly, for the first time in Madhya Pradesh, the bharatiya janata party surprised everyone by releasing a
list of 39 candidates three and a half months before the assembly elections. After this, it was being speculated that
in the first week of september, the bharatiya janata party would also release the second list of assembly
candidates, but this did not happen. Now senior bjp leaders have indicated to release the list from 12 to 15
September. A leader associated with the top leadership of bjp told on condition of anonymity that the second list
which will be released between september 12 and 15 will have the names of those candidates who currently have
Congress MLAs.
Only one list will come in the month of September
The bjp leader also said that, 'The names of the candidates will be declared by the bharatiya janata party in
maximum four lists, but at least three lists will be issued.' He further told that the seats on which BJP's position is
considered to be very strong. The list of candidates for those seats will be released in the last phase. According to
the information received from sources related to bjp, only one list will be released in the month of september,
while the next list will be released in the month of October. The candidates whom the party has made up its mind
to field are being gradually indicated to them.
