Reportedly politics has started in the country amidst the discussion of One Nation, One Election. The Modi government at
the Center on friday (September 1) has constituted a committee for One Nation, One election, which will
work under the chairmanship of former President ram Nath Kovind. The committee will explore the
possibilities of simultaneous elections in the country. Samajwadi party (SP) President akhilesh yadav has
reacted to this and attacked the central government.
On one country, one election, akhilesh yadav first said that elections should be held soon in UP also. He
further said, "This has been said only to distract the meeting of india Alliance. This One Nation, One Election
is just cheating." He said, "This has been done just to divert attention from the india Alliance meeting. Last
time also (during the india Alliance meeting) they had their own meeting. This one nation-one election is just
to cheat. If If there is one election in the entire country, then who would be happier than us? If along with the
Lok Sabha, elections for the UP assembly are also held, then what could be better than this."
Central government has called a special session
It is noteworthy that the central government has called a special session of parliament during 18-22
September. According to media reports, the central government is preparing to introduce many important bills
during this period, which also includes One Nation, One Election. Meanwhile, a committee has been formed.

Nation, One election as an innovative initiative and described it as the need of the hour.
