demanding maratha reservation in Maharashtra's Jalna district last week. . Violence broke out in Antarwali
Sarathi village in Jalna district on friday after the authorities refused to hospitalize a man on hunger strike
demanding maratha reservation. To disperse the crowd, the police lathi-charged and released tear gas shells.

Several persons, including 40 policemen, were injured in the violence and more than 15 state transport buses
were torched. Addressing reporters, Raut raised the question, Who made the call to the chief minister and the
state home minister’s office without orders from top officials? Will not We want to know who gave these
invisible orders over the phone."
CM Shinde and devendra fadnavis targeted
The rajya sabha MP alleged, “Chief minister Eknath Shinde and two deputy chief ministers Devendra Fadnavis
and ajit pawar are working with the mindset of General Dyer. He ordered a lathi charge and firing on Maratha
protesters who were peacefully on hunger strike.” In april 1919, a massacre took place at Jallianwala Bagh in
Amritsar during the baisakhi festival when the british Indian army led by Colonel R. Dyer attacked pro-
independence forces. Ordered to fire on the protesting crowd. Many people were killed in this massacre.
