The Group 1 prelims held by the TSPSC on june 11 were ordered to be cancelled and retaken by the telangana high court on Saturday, september 23. This follows a petition that was submitted to the telangana high court by NSUI President Balmoori venkat and others, stating that the biometric system was not followed and that OMR sheets without hall ticket numbers were provided for the TSPSC Group 1 prelims re-exam.

After the initial exam, which was taken on october 16, 2022, was postponed in november and rescheduled for june, the findings had not been made public for three months. Following an inquiry into the claims of question paper leaks, the first exam was cancelled.

TSPSC paper leak leads to Group 1 prelims re-exam
The TSPSC scam paper leak was discovered on march 13 as a result of a young man's complaint. In the beginning, the police detained nine suspects, including Rajashekar reddy, a network administrator at TSPSC, and praveen Kumar, an assistant section officer. They are suspected of stealing test question papers from a computer in a secure area of the Commission and selling them to other suspects.

The SIT then detained 15 suspects from the mahabubnagar district alone. Later, the detectives discovered connections between the crime and the districts of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Khammam, and Nalgonda. As opposition parties congress and bjp criticised the BRS administration for the leak, which harmed thousands of unemployed people in the state, the test paper leak case became a sensation in Telangana.

The opposition is also requesting that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or a high court judge who is now sitting look into the matter. The TSPS member B. Linga reddy, secretary Anita Ramachandran, and chairman Janardhan reddy were all questioned by the SIT about the issue. Money laundering allegations in the case are also being looked at by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The overall number of suspects detained in connection with the investigation increased to 99 as of august 17.
