Former Union minister and mp maneka gandhi has accused the international Society for Krishna
Consciousness i.e. ISKCON of selling the cows of her cowshed to butchers. After which his video is going viral
on social media. Maneka said, I went to Anantapur Goshala, which is run by ISKCON. The condition of the
cows there was very bad. There was no calf in the Goshala, which means they sell the calves. He further alleged
that the institute sells these cows to butchers who kill them. It is being told that this video of maneka gandhi is
about a month old.
Meanwhile, international Society for krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Communications director Vrijendra
Nandan Das has condemned the statement of bjp mp Maneka Gandhi. He said, ISKCON condemns the false
statements given by Maneka Gandhi. She has given a baseless statement. There are more than 240 cows in
ISKCON’s Anantapur Gaushala, which do not give milk at all, there only 18-19 cows give milk. All the cows are
looked after with great love.
Das said that the DM, mp, mla and health officials who visited the cowshed also said that Maneka Gandhi’s
statement is absolutely wrong. He asked maneka gandhi to first tell when she had gone to the cowshed.
He said, She (Maneka Gandhi) should know that ISKCON is a charitable trust and has been serving Sanatan
Dharma for more than 50 years. cow is our mother. We take care of the safety and health of cows all over the
world. We have 60 cow shelters across India. You can go anywhere and check how well we take care of the
cows.
