On Monday, chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao granted his approval for the new Pay Revision Committee (PRC)'s nomination. N Sivashankar, a former IAS official, will serve as the committee's head, while B Ramaiah, another retired IAS officer, will serve as a member. A Santhi Kumari, the chief secretary, issued directives in this respect. While the PRC developed its recommendations, the State government also announced a 5% interim relief (IR) for government workers and pensioners.

The committee's main goal is to propose updated pay scales for workers and retirees of the State government. It has been told to provide the government with its proposals within six months. The finance division has been given the go-ahead to assign the required resources, including personnel, to guarantee the PRC runs smoothly.

After comparing the present pay scales of telangana employees to those of other State government employees and the government of India, the PRC will develop its recommendations. The State Revenue Growth, State government Commitments for Current and Future Investments, Development Programmes, and Welfare Schemes, among Other Things, will also be taken into consideration by the Commission.

The instructions were issued in accordance with the assurances given to government employees and pensioners by chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao during a brief discussion in the assembly in august of this year. He said that the State administration was dedicated to distributing the benefits of the State's economic growth to all groups, including the workforce. He promised a rise that was "unbelieveable" under the new PRC. The BRS administration increased employee pay by 70% during the previous nine years.
