Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) paid prime minister Narendra Modi a visit a week after the hyderabad municipal election results on december 5, 2020, which resulted in a hung house with the bharatiya janata party winning 48 seats. kcr was wearing a gorgeous shawl. On Tuesday, Modi disclosed that kcr has requested that his party join the national democratic alliance (NDA) during their meeting on december 12, 2020.

"KCR needs backing from the hyderabad city government. He came over to me wearing a nice shawl and treated me quite respectfully, which was rare for KCR. He said that the nation was developing under my leadership and that he wanted to join the NDA. In exchange, he asked the municipal authority for help. I told him that his behavior did not support a working relationship with Modi. The prime minister said in telangana, "I refused to accept his membership in the nda and refused to assist him in any manner.

According to sources, Modi made this declaration to emphasise that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the bharatiya janata party (BJP) do not have a secret agreement in Telangana. This information was revealed in an effort to refute any theories about a conspiracy to stop congress from taking over the state. Modi also intended to make it clear to the party members that the bjp and BRS are rivals in state politics and that both parties will take part in the assembly elections.

He emphasized that the bjp made the decision to oppose BRS in the hyderabad municipal corporation, which irks bjp supporters and is corrupt. Modi made clear how strongly he opposed corruption. By revealing that the BRS leader had once expressed interest in joining the nda, the prime minister hoped to expose kcr, who has harshly criticized the BJP. Modi also recalled another encounter with kcr in Delhi, during which the chief minister stated his intention to hand the reins to his son KTR. The future chief minister of telangana would be chosen by the people of that state, Modi said, challenging this dynastic system.

The second meeting, which most likely took place on september 3, 2021, was KCR's final encounter with the Prime Minister. Since those conversations, according to Modi, kcr has shied away from eye contact and even his shadow. Since 2022, the chief minister has broken convention whenever Modi has visited Telangana. The PM's claims were criticized by KCR's son, KT Rama Rao, as "fabrications," and he was charged with having selective memory loss. After Modi's rally, ktr addressed the media in hyderabad, questioning the veracity of the PM's assertions and decrying them as political hoaxes.
