bihar has become the first state in the country to release caste survey data. It has been told in this survey that
there are a total of 13 crore 7 lakh 25 thousand 310 people in Bihar. Out of these, there are 2 crore 83 lakh 44
thousand 160 families. Among these 13 crore people, the largest population is OBC. There are 63% OBCs out of
which 27% are backward classes and 36% are extremely backward classes. Whereas 14.26% population is of
Yadavs, 3.65% is of Brahmin and 3.45% of the population is of Rajput (Thakur). Kayasthas have the least
number among these castes. According to the survey, the population of Kayasthas in the state is only 0.60%.
