Prime minister Modi will inaugurate the Global Maritime india Summit 2023 tomorrow. prime minister Modi will inaugurate the third session of the Global Maritime india Summit 2023 tomorrow (October 17) at 10:30 am via video presentation. MMRDA in mumbai The conference will be held from october 17 to 19 at the stadium. During the event, prime minister Modi will unveil the long-term plan for India's maritime blue economy, 'Amritkal Vision-2047'. The plan outlines strategic initiatives aimed at improving port facilities, promoting sustainable practices, and facilitating international cooperation.
In line with this future plan, prime minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 23,000 crore and dedicate the completed projects to the country along with the 'Amrithakal Vision 2047' for India's Ocean Blue Economy.
Also, prime minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Tuna Degra all-weather deep terminal to be built at the Deendayal Port Authority in gujarat at a cost of over Rs 4,500 crore. This state-of-the-art green terminal will be developed through public-private partnership. Emerging as an international trade hub, the terminal will act as a gateway for indian trade along the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.
For Global and National Partnerships in Maritime Sector Rs. prime minister Modi will inaugurate more than 300 MoUs worth more than 7 lakh crores during the programme. The summit is India's largest maritime event. It will be attended by ministers from around the world representing countries from Europe, Africa, South America, Asia (including Central Asia, the Middle east and the BIMSTEC region). The conference will be attended by global CEOs, business leaders, investors, executives and other stakeholders. Also, ministers and other representatives from various states of india are going to participate in this conference. The three-day conference will discuss key issues in the maritime sector, including future ports. Among them, carbon reduction; Coastal Shipping and Inland Water Transport; Shipbuilding; repair and recycling; Finance, Insurance and Arbitration; Marine Corps; Innovation and Technology; maritime security; and includes marine tourism etc.
It is said that the summit will also provide a better platform to attract investments in the maritime sector of the country. The first Maritime india Summit was held in mumbai in 2016. The second Maritime Summit will be held in 2021 via video.
