Chief minister M. K. stalin has ordered to provide revised daily wage, revised pay scale of 7th Pay Commission and 20% bonus to tamil Nadu Tea Estate Corporation workers. In a statement released by the tamil Nadu government in this regard, "The Dravidian model government under the leadership of Muthamizharinagar leader Kalainar is taking all the necessary measures to improve the living standards of the workers in tamil Nadu, and is protecting the welfare of the workers like the blink of an eye. The tamil Nadu Tea Estates Association (TANTEA) was established in 1976 with the objective of providing employment to Sri Lankan returnees in tea estates in forest areas and other suitable areas of the Nilgiris district.


Amidst the severe financial crisis in the tamil Nadu Tea Estate Corporation, Hon'ble tamil Nadu chief minister Mr. M.K. It is noted that 1,093 employees have been benefited based on Stalin's already ordered disbursement of Rs.29.38 crore. Similarly, in the interest of tamil Nadu Tea Estate Corporation workers who have not vacated their flats even after retirement, the government has decided to accept the contribution of the beneficiaries for an apartment worth Rs.14 lakhs being constructed by the tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board in the Nilgiris district, so that the retired workers can move to the said flats, Hon. The chief minister has ordered the distribution of Rs.13.46 crore as a contribution by the beneficiaries of their residences as a special event.


Through these, the ongoing efforts of the tamil Nadu government to ensure the social and economic status of the workers of the tamil Nadu Tea Estate Corporation can be seen. In this situation, the workers of tamil Nadu Tea Estate Corporation have been demanding for a long time that the daily wages they were getting should be increased. Also, Mr. Nilgiri Member of parliament who met them on 3-11-2023. A. Raza requested them to kindly consider this demand and other long-standing demands and recommend it to the government.
