Farmers should stand firm and face the problem in any situation. mla Raj Kage expressed concern that the recent increase in suicide cases in the state is heartbreaking.


While distributing a check of ₹5 lakh sanctioned by the Agriculture Department to the heirs of Kadappa Manika Patil, a farmer of Krishna-Kittura village who committed suicide due to debt in Ugara town, on Wednesday, he said, "If you have taken a loan, you should pay it by working." Otherwise, government assistance should be sought. He assured that the distressed farmers would get cooperation from the government if they bring the matter to the attention of the government.
