On tuesday, unknown assailants opened fire on Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena’s National President Sukhdev
Singh Gogamedi in Jaipur. According to police, Gogamedi later died in the hospital. Madhya Pradesh’s acting
CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has described the murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi as tragic, and
said that immediate action against the criminals is appropriate.
CM Shivraj wrote- he life of National President of Rajput Karni Sena Shri Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi ji has
been dedicated to the service of the weaker section of the society. The untimely demise of such a personality is
extremely sad. The criminals should be arrested immediately and appropriate action should be taken, such unruly
elements should not be avoided at any cost. I pray to Almighty god to give peace to the departed soul and give
strength to the family to bear this deep loss.
Jaipur police Commissioner Biju George Joseph said that one attacker was also killed in the firing that took place
in Shyamnagar area on tuesday afternoon. He said that efforts are being made to identify and arrest the two
accused who fled after snatching a person's scooter from outside Gogamedi’s house. He told reporters, “Three
people went to Gogamedi’s residence and told his security personnel that they wanted to meet Gogamedi. The
security personnel took him inside where he talked to Gogamedi for ten minutes. After this, they opened fire on
them.”
