Voting for the Karanpur assembly seat of rajasthan will be held on friday for which all preparations have been made. Officials gave this information on Thursday. Officials said that voting will take place from 7 am to 6 pm on Friday. The election on this seat was postponed due to the death of the congress candidate. Chief Electoral Officer praveen Gupta said that voting will be held at 249 polling stations in Karanpur assembly constituency and voters will be able to vote from 7 am to 6 pm. He said that there are 2,40,826 voters in Karanpur assembly constituency, which includes 1,25,850 men, 1,14,966 women and 10 transgender voters. 180 service voters are registered. He said that 24 sector officers have been deployed for Karanpur assembly constituency while 10 have been kept in reserve. Two area magistrates have also been deployed for Karanpur and Padampur.

Gupta said that a total of goods worth more than Rs 10.03 crore have been seized in this assembly constituency from october 9, 2023 till now. These include cash worth Rs 14 lakh, liquor worth about Rs 38.88 lakh, narcotics worth Rs 9.33 crore and other items worth more than Rs 15 lakh. It is noteworthy that voting was held for 199 out of 200 assembly seats in the state on november 25. Its result was declared on december 3. In this, bjp got 115 seats and congress 69 seats. The election on Karanpur Ganganagar seat was postponed due to the death of congress candidate and then mla Gurmeet Singh Kunnar. Here, former minister Surendrapal Singh is the TT candidate from bharatiya janata party (BJP), while congress has fielded Kunnar's son Rupinder Singh.

The ruling bjp inducted Surendrapal Singh TT into the Council of Ministers as minister of State (Independent Charge) on december 30. congress criticized it. Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot had called it a 'clear violation of the code of conduct and an attempt to influence the voters there'.
