As the 2024 general elections are approaching, the bjp and the opposition parties are clashing with each other and it is stirring up action in the political circles.

It can be said that the race for the lok sabha has started gaining momentum. The ruling bharatiya janata party and opposition parties have been challenging each other face to face and taking various initiatives. It must be said that the bjp is one step ahead in the current environment, with the inauguration of the ram temple in Ayodhya, the supreme Court's decision to abrogate article 370, the divisions in the indian Union, and the political change in Bihar.

An article in the UK's Guardian predicts a hat-trick for the BJP. It is one of BJP's poll plans ahead of 2019 lok sabha elections. Revoking Jammu and Kashmir's 'Special Status' by abrogating article 370 of the Constitution. Therefore, it was passed on august 6, 2019. On december 11, 2023, the supreme court upheld the government's decision to abrogate the article.

The supreme court judgment gave a big boost to the BJP. And it brushed off opposition criticism of the ruling party, from demonetisation and unemployment to the Pegasus row. The aam aadmi party supported the repeal of article 370 in 2019. Meanwhile, the Left had been pushing for the restoration of special status, in sharp contrast to the Congress' stand.

A long-standing promise of the bjp is to build a temple for Lord Rama at Ayodhya, where he is said to have been born. It has now been completed. According to political experts, “The opening of the ram temple has galvanized voters across the country. This could translate into over 400 seats in the lok sabha for the party with 50% votes. This is the target set by Union home minister amit shah last year.

Prime minister Modi's position also plays an important role in the construction of ram temple. From laying the foundation stone to participating in the Kumbabhishekam ceremony of the temple. The opposition's bid to take on the bjp in the upcoming national elections seems to have succeeded after the congress, one of the top members of the indian delegation, faced unprecedented roadblocks in West bengal during the Bharat Jodo Neeti Yatra.

India's ally trinamool congress and the state unit of the congress have been at loggerheads over seat sharing for the general elections. Team india suffered a major blow on sunday as JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar dissolved the All india Alliance and resigned as chief minister. Political watchers feel that this has shaken the ground for the opposition alliance and given a boost to the BJP's bid to regain the lok sabha majority.
