On Monday, Finance minister Suresh Khanna presented the budget on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government. This budget is being said by the UP government to be helpful for farmers, middle class, youth, women and business class. varanasi has also got two big gifts in this budget. In which it has been decided to propose Rs 400 crore for a medical college and Rs 150 crore for the establishment of NIFT. In the budget presented by the Uttar Pradesh government, an amount of Rs 150 crore has been proposed for the establishment of NIFT, which is known as the largest institute of fashion design and technology in Varanasi. Before this, an extension center of Rae bareli was established in Chowkaghat, Varanasi. At this centre, students study prescribed courses for a period ranging from 6 months to 12 months, in which currently 32 students are studying.
But now after the establishment of NIFT, students will get the opportunity to complete their undergraduate and postgraduate studies in varanasi only. The infrastructure of educational institutions related to fashion design will be better. Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh will now be the first state in the entire country where NIFT will have two educational institutions. Till now there are a total of 18 major educational institutions associated with NIFT across the country.
Patients and students will get relief from medical college
In the budget presented, the government has proposed Rs 400 crore for a medical college in Varanasi. Certainly, a large number of patients come to varanasi for treatment not only from other districts but also from Bihar. In such a situation, there is a lot of pressure on the already existing Kashi Hindu university and other medical colleges in Varanasi.
