Former DCP Radhakishan remanded for 14 days…

The nampally court has remanded former DCP Radhakishan Rao, who was arrested in the sensational phone tapping case, to 14 days judicial remand. It is known that Radhakishan Rao, who worked as DCP of hyderabad Task Force and after retirement as OSD there for a long time, was arrested by the police on Thursday.

It is alleged that Radhakishan Rao's team carried out unauthorized operations at the field level based on the information given by DSP (now suspended) Dugyala Praneet Rao through phone tapping while working in the Special Intelligence Branch (SIB). The officers who interrogated Radhakishan Rao at banjara hills police Station on thursday morning conducted medical tests at gandhi Hospital on friday evening.

Radhakishan Rao was remanded for 14 days after being brought to the judge's residence in Nampally. Meanwhile, CI Gattumallu revealed key facts in the phone-tapping case. Guttumallu is reported to have said that he worked under the orders of former DCP Radhakishan Rao.

Meanwhile, Additional SPs Bhujangarao and Thirupatanna have already been taken to five-day police custody till april 2 in the phone tapping case. Despite this, the police have officially registered a case of phone tapping. A memo was filed in the nampally court attaching the Telegraph Act. However, it is noteworthy that this Telegraph Act has been invoked in very few cases in the country. So far, the accused Praneet Rao, Thirupatanna, and Bhujangara Rao have been tried only in the cases of abuse of power and destruction of valuable information related to the government. It is in this background that there is a spat of words between the leaders of the ruling congress and the opposition BRS regarding this case. It is known that cm Revanth reddy today gave a strong counter to KTR's comments that the accused who did phone tapping should not be jailed.
