BJP cuts Kirron Kher's ticket from Chandigarh...
Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) released the list of candidates on wednesday (April 10). The party has canceled the ticket of actress kirron kher from Chandigarh. In his place, the bjp has made Sanjay Tandon its candidate. Tandon is the president of chandigarh BJP. There were indications some time ago about Kirron Kher's ticket being cut. On march 4, when Kher was asked about contesting the lok sabha elections from the chandigarh seat, she was seen avoiding it. kirron kher has been a two-time MP.
Two-time MP's ticket canceled
Kiran had won this seat for the first time in 2014 on a bjp ticket. In 2019 also, kirron kher won from this seat. Now the party has canceled his ticket. kirron kher had defeated Pawan Bansal of congress in the 2014 elections. In 2019, he defeated AAP candidate Gul Panag.
Sanjay Tandon has been active in chandigarh for a long time
Sanjay Tandon's political career started in 1991 when he was put in charge of the amritsar lok sabha seat. Tandon has been in charge of different units of bjp since then.
