BJP changed candidates every time

So far, the bjp has been able to win the Ballia lok sabha seat only twice. Whereas before the year 2014, bjp candidate ram krishna alias Gopal stood second in the elections of 1998 and 1999. In the year 2009, the bjp had given a ticket to Manoj Kumar Sinha in Ballia, but due to this bjp had to face defeat in the elections.

In the 2014 lok sabha elections, bjp changed its candidate and fielded Bharat Singh in place of Manoj Sinha. For the first time in the Modi wave, Bharat Singh managed to win from the Ballia seat. But, in the last five years, resentment against him increased among the people, the complaint of which reached the high command.

Seeing the increasing dissatisfaction regarding Bharat Singh in the 2019 elections, the bjp again changed the candidate and gave the ticket to Virendra Singh Mast. bjp benefited from the Modi wave in this election and Virendra Singh Mast won the election. He was recognized as a public leader. But, this time his ticket has also been cut. In the 2024 elections, bjp has again changed its candidate from Ballia's seat and has made Neeraj Shekhar its candidate. Neeraj Shekhar has been an mp on SP ticket in the by-elections of 2008 and 2009. Before this, his father and former prime minister Chandrashekhar was an mp from Janata Dal in 1989 and continuously from the Samajwadi party from 1991 to 2004.
