The work of redeveloping Kota railway station of rajasthan through West Central Railway is being done on world class lines under the leadership of DRM manish Tiwari. Apart from this, the progress of redevelopment works is being regularly inspected by the top leadership and officials of the concerned department.
The redevelopment work of Kota railway station is being done at a cost of Rs 207.63 crore, which is targeted to be completed by 29 april 2025. The redevelopment work of Kota railway station started on 12 november 2022. The time limit for the construction period of this work has been set within 900 days. 2 arrival blocks and 1 departure block will be constructed in 6765 square meters of Kota Railway Station. This will be equipped with world class modern facilities.
Kota railway station will be handicap friendly.
Facilities like VIP lounge, waiting room, food plaza and kiosk will be provided at the station. To connect platform numbers 1 and 3, a concourse area of 2100 square meters will be constructed. For the convenience of passengers, provision of 8 lifts and 14 escalators has been made. This entire station will be handicap friendly and parking facilities will also be available. Keeping passenger safety in mind, CCTV cameras will also be installed. To protect the environment, the station will be developed as a green building, apart from this, arrangements for solar energy and water conservation will also be made. At present, survey and soil exploration work has been done for the redevelopment of the station.
Apart from this, foundation, excavation and PCC work of bio station and electric substation is also being done. In future, the redeveloped Kota station will provide world class facilities to the passengers traveling from here, which will lead to economic development of the area and create employment opportunities.
