According to Bangladeshi newspaper Daily Star, home minister Asaduzzaman Khan has confirmed the murder of Azim.

He said in his statement that there could be a long conspiracy behind this murder. mp Anwarul Azim was found dead in a flat. home minister Asaduzzaman Khan said that Bangladeshi people are involved in his murder. The police took action and arrested three accused. The body of mp Anwarul was found in Newtown area of Kolkata.

Asaduzzaman Khan said, 'We will soon inform you about the motive of the murder.' According to the minister, indian police is cooperating in the case. Anar, a three-time mp and president of the Kaliganj upazila unit of the Awami League, had gone on a personal visit to india on May 12 for treatment. His missing complaint was lodged at Baranagar police station in North kolkata on May 18.

Came to india for treatment on May 11

Anwarul Azim came to india on May 12 for treatment. Contact with him was lost since May 13. MP's PA Abdur Rauf said that he had been in contact with his family and party members for two days. Bangladeshi MP's daughter Mumtahin Firdous Dorin had appealed to the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan police to find her father and the MP.

Dead body not found yet

MP Anwarul Azim had entered india through Darshana-Gede border on May 12. Stayed there at the house of a person named Gopal. The next day he left home after having breakfast. He was supposed to return home in the evening, but he did not return. Since then there was no contact with him.

The MP's daughter had informed bangladesh Prime minister Sheikh Hasina about this. At present kolkata police is investigating this matter. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the killers killed the mp and ran away with his mobile phone.
