In the recent general elections in Andhra Pradesh, the ycp party suffered a heavy defeat. Unexpectedly, the ycp party got only 11 seats. The alliance won 164 seats together and won an undisputed victory. The party that won 151 seats in the last election has never suffered such a defeat. At least it did not get the status of opposition. There are many reasons why ycp lost the elections. The real reason for this is that the government advisers have been blocking the jagan administration and they have been ruling the state. jagan was badly defeated due to some wrong advice given by Sajjala ramakrishna Reddy, the chief advisor of the government.
A few lakh crores of welfare schemes in the state have been made available to every doorstep. A wonderful decision taken by the jagan government is the volunteer and secretariat system. With these, jagan has created a new trend in governance. A secretariat was set up for every ward in the village and town and a change in governance was brought about. Even though some gains were made due to it, the losses started to increase. Due to the volunteer system, the post of village sarpanch has become non-existent. Any need in the village was discussed in the Gram Sabha under the leadership of the Sarpanch and those problems were resolved. But now no one cares about Sarpanch. Even if there is any need, we have to rely on volunteers. Also, due to the cut in the funds to be given to the Sarpanchs for the development of the village, a situation has arisen where all the Sarpanches have to sit together for a dharna. Also, local mla K jagan was unable to get an appointment. If a problem goes to jagan, it should not go past the previous advisers. With this, Jagan's distance from the people has increased. Like YSR, if he had done Racha Banda programs and tried to understand people's problems, this time jagan wouldn't have been stopped by anyone.
