Ban on EWS certificate.., congress President targets government!
delhi Pradesh congress Committee President Devendra Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the bjp government of Delhi. He said that banning the issuance of EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificate in the name of fraud is like directly snatching the right to education from poor students. If there is a matter of fraud, then the education department can investigate it thoroughly, but completely banning the certificate is an anti-poor step. congress strongly opposes this decision.
congress leader Devendra Yadav alleged that the bjp government is not only conspiring to end SC/ST/OBC reservation, but is also targeting the reservation of EWS students. He said that by cutting the scholarship and education budget, the bjp has made its intention clear. This government is working in the interest of capitalists and taking decisions that break the back of the poor.
'Difficulties of students and parents increased'
Devendra Yadav said that the time for admission in schools, colleges and universities is going on. In such a situation, the future of children from poor families is at stake due to the ban on EWS certificate. 25% seats are reserved for EWS category in private schools, and 10% reservation in jobs is also given on the basis of this certificate. This ban will not only affect education, but also employment opportunities. Especially, when the admission process is about to start with CBSE 10th-12th results and exams like CUET, then this decision is even more fatal.
'Private schools benefit, poor suffer'
Devendra Yadav accused the rekha Gupta government of delhi of benefiting private schools. He said that recently private schools increased the fees arbitrarily, but the government did not take any strict action on this. This has increased the financial burden on parents and the education of children has become expensive. Now by banning EWS certificate, the government has tried to promote private schools further. Yadav demanded that the fee hike be withdrawn immediately, otherwise congress will take to the streets and protest.
