The yogi government has made another relief announcement for crores of children of the state. The state government has approved the release of a huge amount of Rs 487 crore for uniforms for children from class 1 to 8. According to sources, chief minister yogi Adityanath will send money directly to the bank accounts of the parents of the children under this scheme in a special program organized at Lok Bhavan on May 26.

The benefit of this scheme will be available to all the students studying in government, aided and government schools of the state. This amount for uniforms will be sent directly to the accounts of the students or their parents through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) so that there is no middleman and the money reaches the needy directly.

Shoes, socks and bags will also be available with uniforms

Under this scheme of the government, not only uniforms but also school bags, shoes, socks and sweaters etc. are also provided. Every year the education department sends the amount to the students in their bank accounts for the purchase of these items. In the past years, crores of children have been given benefits through DBT in the same way. This entire process will be monitored by the Basic education Department. The department has already issued necessary instructions to all the districts to prepare a list of eligible students and link their bank accounts with Aadhaar so that there is no problem in the transfer.

Government's intention - every child should study, move forward

chief minister yogi Adityanath says that his government's priority is that no child should be deprived of school. For this, the government is determined to fulfill every basic need related to the education of children. This is the reason why schemes like uniform, bag and mid-day meal are being made better.

The Uttar Pradesh government gives an amount of Rs 1200 to the students every year for uniforms, which includes two uniforms, one bag, one pair of shoes, two pairs of socks and one sweater. Earlier in the year 2023, 1.91 crore children were benefited on almost similar lines. Overall, this initiative of the yogi government is a big step towards encouraging the education of children of poor and middle class families.
