The problem of traffic jam is not new in the country's capital Delhi. Even after leaving home before time, people get stuck in traffic for hours and get late for their office-college. There are many areas in South delhi where people have to deal with traffic jam every day.
Flyover is going to be completed at a cost of crores
Keeping this problem in mind, the central government has put forward a proposal, under which a 20 km long elevated corridor has been talked about to connect some major areas of South delhi to indira gandhi International airport (IGI) and Gurgaon.
This flyover will connect the areas around AIIMS in South delhi to Mahipalpur in South-West Delhi. According to the report of indian Express, the concerned officials said that this bypass project will be extended till Gurgaon-Faridabad Road. It is estimated that around Rs 5,000 crore will be spent on the signal-free elevated corridor.
